Welcome to Breathing Studio, a nurturing space for women who are looking for mind-body therapy or holistic therapy in Perth, that integrates evidence based psychological therapy (mind) as well as body based (somatic) therapy. The Breathing Studio runs small women’s groups focused on somatic therapy to offer nervous system healing. Groups are warm and nurturing with a maximum of four women per group to allow safety for group trauma healing as well as group stress management.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or a bit lost or stuck—perhaps tense, with moments of frustration, a heavy fog of fatigue, numbness, disconnection, or not feeling like yourself—you’re not alone. These signs, woven with stress, heaviness, pressures, or the weight of anxiety, whisper struggles longing for tending.
Our bodies and nervous systems carry life’s joys and sorrows, holding stories and emotions yet to be explored. What is this talk of a nervous system, you may be wondering? We don’t often learn about our nervous system states or how life’s challenges can shift us from calm to unrest, which is what The Breathing Studio is all about. These intimate women’s groups offer a soft invitation to nurture your whole being through trauma-sensitive practices rooted in Polyvagal Theory and mindfulness, gently guiding you toward a deeper sense of self.
Perhaps you’ve tried talk therapy and long for something deeper, a way to come home to who you are or who you dream of becoming. I’m Chantal, a clinical psychologist with 15 years of experience, offering a path distinct from traditional therapy, fuelled by my deep passion for integrative mind-body healing to guide women back to their radiant, whole selves. These nurturing groups are a beautiful addition to individual therapy that you may be exploring elsewhere.
Within these practices, I hope you find a gentle space to balance your nervous system, easing stress, anxiety, heaviness, and pressures, while holding emotions with more calmness. The groups offer a healing environment to tend to trauma, depression, or emotion dysregulation, fostering a brighter mood and heightened self-awareness. The goal is to gently guide you to a deep yet gentle mind-body connection, releasing emotions long held and cultivating resilience. In this sacred space, you’re invited to explore your inner landscape with compassion, honoring all that you are.
I look forward to guiding you in closed groups of just four women, journeying together for 5 consecutive weekly sessions, each 90 minutes. These intentionally small groups create a cherished space for deeply personalised healing, fostering a safe, cozy community to settle and connect, for we are so much more than our minds, we also have these magnificent bodies and nervous systems that are calling for nurturance and balance.
